Since the beginning of this May 2016, MTN has released about 4 different data packages referred to as MTN Surprise, they are not yet tired in surprise their customers. I'm pretty sure that most of you guys are flexing with the new MTN 500MB for just N25 launched few days back, they are here again with another fantabulous night data package which serves as a better alternative to the new MTN 500MB for just N25 midnight plan.

Whatever you use the data bundle for, live streaming, heavy download, normal download etc. MTN got you covered with suitable data packages. No more paying N2,500 for 4.5GB night and day plan, below are the new introduced night data plans;

» 1GB Night Plan, (9PM – 6AM) Cost N200
» 2.5GB Night Plan, (9PM - 6AM) Cost N500
» 5GB Night Plan, (9PM - 6AM) Cost N1000

To Subscribe for any of the above night plans.
Simply dial *198# >> Choose 2 and then 8.
Each of the plan valid for 30 days.

This should serve as an alternative for those who can't wait till midnight for MTN 500MB of N25 (12:00am – 4:00am), then you can go for this new better plan that is suitable for the whole.

  1. Mtn is trying so hard to make me like them and it just might work. These data plans are so enticing. Unfortunately Airtel provides better reliability and speed in my area but I'll still give these plans a try

    1. Please help me ask once more. I prefer to pay high for data and know I got exactly what's paid for than to be deceived into believing that I've got 5gb whereas it's only maybe 2gb after double billing. So painful! MTN and airtel are culprits to this!

Roltf nw, well After Airtel scared the living hell out of many by suspending Airtel unlimited night plans of N100 for 1hr and that of N500 for 6hrs, and also went ahead to astronomically increase the rate for the one of N200 for 3hrs to N1,000, Airtel has now made a dramatic comeback with another N100 for 1hr plan and now N200 for 2hours plan in different style.

    In a way these ones are better cos you start browsing and downloading by 11pm as against 12 midnight and you can subscribe countless number of times between the hours of 11PM to 6AM.

    1. It seems Mtn has cancelled the plan, but I did not believe yet, the plan that was just released yesterday. Let me say it is a network problem, you guys should keep trying the code. As you can see from the above screenshot, the code was tested and worked fine at yesterday.
